Being a kindergarten teacher is..... challenging, full of surprises and very rewarding (did I mention it was challenging? 😏) It's exciting to be a part of the discoveries young minds make when allowed to flit and float with the right amount of direction.
As you may imagine, I particularly enjoy when these young minds express their adoration for a specific piece of music. Particularly pieces that we've been listening to all year long (during journal time).
Today's source of young musical delight was a piece by French musician, Yann Tiersen from the Amélie soundtrack called Comptine d'Un Autre Été which means : nursery rhyme of another Summer... how appropriate.
At my student's request, we binge listened to Mike Lew's uptempo version today (Agaaaaiin!). Take a piece of this peace for yourself.
