Hula HI-FI are a trio of soulful Nashville swooners individually identified as Sarah Bandy, Josh Kaler and Annie Clements . All accomplished and celebrated musicians, composers and performers in their own right. As a unified band of players, Hula HI-FI add a kind of syrupy, sauntering and sultry music, dripping with complex but well intentioned emotions to our world. They call it, "Hawaiian Noir" and when asked to define their terms, Hula HI-FI elucidates poetically ....
“ Hawaiin Noir is more of a feeling than a sound, it’s tropical intimacy turned into notes and chords... a nostalgic, melancholic longing for someone beloved and lost. It’s something dangerous and blissful...” It tells the story of “how beautiful the world is, even when it’s burning.”
