I'm hoping that Salomé de Bahia's "Theme of Rio" can end a months long "conversation" (read smiling argument) I've been having with a few of my friends.
The topic of said conversation: What is "good" morning music?
It seems that we can chalk the longevity of this particular debate up to the ol' homophone quagmire.
See, I thought we were discussing mourning music (which explains why my friends were referring to my style as Indie Funeral Rock...). Apparently, I was misunderstanding that he was looking for happy morning music...
SO, let's lay this one to rest shall we? (Here I go again with morbidity...)
I really hope that with "Theme of Rio" off of
Salomé de Bahia's 2002 release Cabaret (Eastwest Records) we can all agree to agree that this is indeed a great way to start the day.See whatcha think.
Love,

P.S. I would be remiss if I didn't thank my spunky/funky neighborhood (live Facebook) DJ for handing me this song last night whilst he "spun" and selected amazing music for us to enjoy while at the same time wrangling his cutie pie kidlets. Thanks Gai... u da best.
