I've been offering a lot of #CoversDoneWell recently but, this is not one. Sting and his longtime guitarist, Dominic Miller collaborated on this classic, "Shape of My Heart" which appeared on Sting's '93 release Ten Summoner's Tales, and eventually became a hit for Craig David and the Sugababes, as well.
A philosophical piece that tells the story of a gambler who, is just trying to figure out the mystical rules behind the game... this song fits perfectly in my ears on a rainy morning.
This rainy morning to be exact.
Between the meandering, character building and story telling lyrics and the ambient, cyclical, mellow sound of those cozy nylon strings... I can't turn this song off, just like I can't get outta bed...
You'll notice 2 offerings below ⬇️. I love them both and couldn't leave one out. So, here ya go, enjoy with care.
Stay warm and dry morning trekkers, these tunes will keep you humming,
Love,
