The Lumineers, born out of the desire to turn a tragic situation into a life affirming one, accomplish their goals and then some with every howl, key jingle and dimly lit backyard show. Built by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites as they mourned the loss of their respective best friend and brother, The Lumineers are rustic, folksie and real. These boys write simply beautiful songs that create a sense of community, belonging and love amongst their ever growing world of admirers.
“Falling" was known as "Untitled" for a while. As far as I can see, it hasn't made it onto an album yet. I think these guys kinda wanna keep it a lil obscure. I get it. For an Indie Folk band who really made it big over the last few years, maybe they wanna keep some things sacred. Not that I have anything against making it big but, I get needing the space of a private stash as well.
Featuring talented bassist, Neyla Pekarek together with Wesley during A Take Away Show in San Fransisco (Presented by La Blogothèque), this one brought the house down... or the sky. You'll love it.
