Joachim Horsley + Beethoven Hit Havana
I've always admired the Native American people for their ability to make use of all that surrounds them. Plant, animal, tool... no wasted opportunities there.
It's in that same tune that I admire the enchanted and dynamic musical stylings of one Mr. Joachim Horsely. Jo (pronounced "Yo" 😉) makes sure to use every inch of his piano to create the most exhilarating, full bodied, and rich music imaginable. You think, "What willlll he do next?" (He is also a renowned composer, movie score-er, and lead singer for the band LittleHorse).
Now, Mr. Horsely has been on the music scene for quite some time, which is why I'm surprised that today was our first encounter. As I flitted and floated about town this fine summer's day, I decided to leave my musical selections up to the spiritual force that is the YouTube algorithm... it knows me. I mean, it reaaaaally knows me.
So, phone tethered to its umbilical chord of electrical excess, I began my daily dealings... and then this beauty happened. And boy, did I swoon.
Now, I know I use the word Swoon, like, a lot but... believe me when i tell you that as this music hit my ears - I actually gasped with pure glee - like a (clown loving) child at the circus. I even laughed at myself when I realized what I had done 🙈. It wasn't a normal, controlled and thoughtful "oooh lala".... this "oooh lala" was like my soul cheering with wild abandon. It was a moment.
You just need make a few minutes to let your soul cheer. Please, it's for your own good (me, begging 🐶).
